A recent survey of the LSS revealed the following amazing results.

1) 80% of committee members applied for their position for the sole purpose of boosting their CV

2) once elected most couldn't care less of serving the students or doing any work whatsoever because they had already amended their CV to include their "role" in the LSS

3) most commitee members were, however, willing to organise corporate funding because that involves speaking to a law firm who they were planning to hand their CV to in the future

4) most thought that PD should be censored because it would weaken the weight of mentioning the LSS on the CV if the law firms who they were planning to apply to heard about it

5) all agreed that the LSS has gone downhill over the last few years

(notes: the survey may be fictional but is likely to be possibly certainly but not necessarily true; James Bull, Lachie Slats, Tom O'C, the PD team and a few others did do lots of work)

Hi,

I would just like to commend all those who contributed to Purely Dicta last year. It certainly raised a lot of important issues about the Melbourne Law School and life at university. Whilst the publication was not without its controversies, the exposure it has thus gained merely reflects the conservative nature of our law school attendees - something I hope shall change.

Kind Regards,
